Mr. Morgan Paul Muchnick founded The M2 Group in 2012 after more than 15 years in Congress and the private sector.
Mr. Muchnick previously served as Senior Professional Staff to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, where he played a pivotal role in creating the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In addition, Mr. Muchnick managed the aerospace, defense and homeland security portfolios at the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA), led a communications team at Unisys Corporation focused on the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and as the Director of Legislative Affairs for Turner Government and Public Affairs. He continues to consult with Turner GPA. Furthermore, he is a co-founder of Fantasy Politics, LLC, a civics-minded educational game patterned after fantasy football.
Mr. Muchnick completed his undergraduate degree in History with honors at UCLA and received a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Successfully worked with an Italian oil and natural gas company to ensure their American office was able to navigate federal government regulations relating to international business and national security.
Helped create an industry coalition that worked to protect ship manufactures from frivolous asbestos lawsuits.
Represented a precious metal manufacturer for major aerospace projects, including the Chinook helicopter and F-22 next-generation fighter.
Advocated on behalf of the aerospace industry for the allocation of increased federal appropriations toward NASA and human space exploration.
Drafted significant aspects of legislative language eestablishing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) while serving as Professional Staff to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
